These scholarships are for those who have an IEP and have opted out of attending their public schools. Essentially the funds that would have gone to providing speech and/or occupational therapy in the public school can be allocated to a provider for receiving speech therapy in a private, charter or for homeschool students. With the scholarships we are able to provide speech and/or occupational therapy twice a week throughout the school year, which is free to you!
Since EKT does not do insurance, we encourage families to check into the scholarships once kids are kindergarten age and have an IEP (or preschool with an autism IEP). We can walk you through the steps, it’s easy!
